Subaru Turbo Inlet Hose

Silicone has been used for years in Aerospace and medical equipment,

Silicone is now seeing a resurgence as a durable and superior material in performance motorsports. Silicone technology allows us to design a turbo inlet hose that is better in all aspects than the OEM part and increases your engines horsepower and performance.

Smoother Air Flow To Turbo

The PERRIN inlet hose is perfectly smooth on the inside and has a significantly larger internal diameter than the OEM part. The increased air flow by removing the pleats found in the OEM hose makes more horsepower, decreases turbo spool time, and improves acceleration.

SS Internal Support Wire

The PERRIN inlet hose is reinforced with a stainless steel support wire that is embedded within the silicone layers. The support adds rigidity to the hose and prevents collapse when used with restrictive filter elements and large turbo applications running extreme amounts of boost. Watch the Video.

Blow Off Valve Connection

The PERRIN inlet hose has a machined aluminum insert which is bonded into the layers of silicone, giving you a solid blow off valve hose connection and makes installation go even easier.

08+ Specific Design

The PERRIN inlet hose for the 08+ WRX and Legacy GT is the only inlet hose specifically made for this car. This is not just the STI version adapted to fit like other inlet hoses. This is specific to the engines with the plastic intake manifold with specially designed spigots and BOV fitting.

Large High Flow Spigots

All spigots on the PERRIN inlet hose are 1/2"ID for maximum flow from crank case vents and other vacuum connections. All connectors used on our hoses are glass reinforced nylon (rated to 400 degrees F) which will withstand engine bay temps found from normal driving to extreme racing conditions.

Installation

The PERRIN turbo inlet hose is the only hose on the market today that does NOT require the removal of the intake manifold! This cuts the install time from 4-6 hours down to just 1 hour! We achieve this by changing the placement and type of spigots used. This design also means NO more rerouting of crank case vents and hoses! No need to purchase extra gaskets or deal with fuel and coolant spills!

Turbo Inlet Hose Test on STI

Like all tests we do, we start out with a few baseline runs and then as quick as possible swap out the part we intend to test. In this case when we swapped out the OEM inlet hose for the PERRIN part in 45minutes, which was somewhat controversial as it normally take about 3 times longer than that. The freer flowing nature of the turbo inlet hose gains about 10WHP at higher RPM and spools the turbo faster.

You can see in this graph how much faster the turbo spools up! This is what makes for the higher torque reading on the other dyno graph. Again, PERRIN has brought you something else no one has done before.
