Single piece 3" downpipe with single high flow cat

Crafted from 3” 304 Stainless Steel, mandrel bent and TIG welded, this product insures smooth exhaust flow back to the catalyst. Making crisp boost and throttle response when needed. Just like all other downpipes we have made for the WRX, we have signature split pipe mouth to divert the wastegate exhaust gases away from the exhaust coming from the turbine. This small feature is what makes our part really stand out from the rest!

Our downpipe uses a 200cell per inch metallic substrate catalytic converter. Our converters are guaranteed to take the extreme heat produced by high horsepower motors and do so for miles and miles. The PERRIN Performance downpipe is the perfect compliment to your PERRIN 3" exhaust system. Like our other exhausts, the 02-07 WRX/STI downpipe w/cat is built with 3” 304Stainless Steel tubing, which passes through a special high flow metallic catalytic converter. All mirror polished for that show look.

DYNO TIME

The below graph shows back to back dyno runs on an 08 STI with a PERRIN Quad Tip Exhaust installedf and Stage 1 ECU tuning. The only change was the Catted Downpipe, no additional ECU tuning was done between runs, but further gains can be seen with ECU tuning. As quick as we could we swapped out the stock downpipesfor our 3" downpipes and got great gains! 10WHP and 20ft-lbs of torque!

The results with further tuning with the complete Turboback exhaust are amazing! Before the ECU didn’t like any additional timing up top, now with the freer flowing exhaust the engine was much less prone to knock and liked to run a little leaner. The leaner mixture, and additional timing up top is very noticeable, and no longer does the car feel like it totally falls flat on its face above 5500rpm. This below run is the results had with further ECU tuning, which we call the stage 2 setup.
