High flow down pipe with catalyst. More power and clean exhaust for the environment. Combine with cat back exhaust for unbelievable gains. Read below for details, specifications and dyno charts. Fits Evo X 2008 2009 2010.
The PERRIN Performance downpipe is the perfect compliment to your PERRIN EVO X catback exhaust . This system combines to make a 3" Turbo back exhaust system.
Like our other exhausts, the EVO 10 downpipe w/cat is built with 3” 304 Stainless Steel tubing, which passes through a special high flow 200 cell per inch metallic catalytic converter. All mirror polished for that show look. Our downpipe add a little sound to a stock exhaust but add a great gain in horsepower!
Another great feature of the PERRIN Downpipe the weight savings! We combined 2 OEM parts to make the PERRIN downpipe which helps with the savings! The OEM downpipe and catpipe weighs 19.85lbs and the PERRIN Downpipe w/cat weighs 8.8lbs. That is a huge savings of 11lbs!
Below is some testing we did with both our downpipe and the catback exhaust. The first part is showing the catback exhaust then the downpipe was done later.
We saw 20WHP in some parts of the RPM band, and a pretty good average of about 10WHP. One really cool thing as we expected, was the turbo spooling a little quicker. This made for about 50ft-lbs of torque gained at 3000RPM. Below is the graph showing our Stage 1 ECU flash with nothing changed but the catback exhaust.
Next we left the PERRIN Catback on along with our Stage 1 flash and as quick as we could we bolted on the 3" downpipe with 3" high flow cat pipe (CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO) . The most interesting thing is peak power didn't change much nor did peak torque. However, the power was much more smoothed out, and much broader power gains were had. Meaning, we still got 20WHP, but as you can see below the area of 15-20WHP gained was much larger. The graph below shows Stage 1 with no exhaust versus Stage 1 with both PERRIN catback and Downpipe.
Our cat-back is a simple bolt on item, that requires nothing more than simple hand tools to install. No need to trim the bumper, bend a bracket, or anything. Literally unbolt the OEM system and bolt the PERRIN one in its place.
